BSCM thanks long-time servants

FENTON, MI – The Baptist State Convention of Michigan (BSCM) took a day to celebrate the retirement of two staff members whose work has become synonymous with the mission of the ministry in Michigan. Anne Glissman and Yolanda Chapa are retiring after many years of faithful service. The BSCM hosted an Open House and Retirement Appreciation BBQ on July 8th.

Glissman has served for 23 years as the BSCM Bookkeeper and Executive Assistant. Chapa has tirelessly worked as a Ministry Assistant for 16 years. More than 150 people attended the event including friends, pastors and wives, as well as past coworkers. Crystal award plaques were given to each of the women in addition to gifts and cards of appreciation. The members from Tecumseh Missionary Baptist Church helped with the preparation and set up for the BBQ.
