FENTON — Pastors, church leaders, groups, individuals, and children attended the Christmas Open House at the Baptist State Convention of Michigan. Groups took tours around the updated offices, which included learning how each staff member is uniquely positioned to assist churches. Guests heard about the new vision and experienced the growing enthusiasm for the future of Michigan Baptist Churches. The majority of the time was more informal as guests chatted with state staff over hot cider and cookies. BSCM Executive Director, Tim Patterson said he was especially delighted that so many guests spoke of the openness and warmth they found at the state office. Patterson said, “It seems everyone was encouraged with the direction the Convention is taking.”
